Russian President Vladimir Putin says North Korea is willing to denuclearize but it needs security guarantees.
The Russian president made the remarks after meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. Putin said Kim asked him to inform Washington about his position. He said Moscow's interests coincide with those of Washington in that both countries want complete denuclearization. Putin said he was satisfied with his first face-to-face meeting with the North Korean leader. Kim has also hailed the summit as very meaningful.
