Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko invited his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to visit his childhood home in the village of Alexandria, after the fifth Forum of Regions in the Mogilev region on Friday.
The two leaders tried local food and also visited Trofimova Krinitsa, a local spring named in honour of Lukashenko's grandfather, where they drank its waters reputed to have healing properties.
Putin drove the pair around in a modernised GAZ-69, a four wheel drive truck that was formerly used as a jeep throughout the Soviet Union and former Eastern Bloc.
