Saturday Cinema - demo and digging... As part of the Glasgow to Edinburgh Improvement Program the old main line rail tunnels underneath the canal which were built over 100 years ago needed demolishing and rebuilding - all in a tight time frame.... as usual the work starts in good weather and then it rains ....and rains - which then turns to sleet but the work has to carry on. First they had to dam the canal and drain the section over the tunnels.... apparently all finished on time and within the budget.
